Cameras,Photography and Profession

There was time when people used to buy camera rolls for a photography session where the roll could barely hold about 36-38 photos and there was deep repentance if by mistakenly a film got wasted. And if you remember then there was a counter at the top of the camera which counted number of shots taken which also meant to show number of films left. The photography was more precise and careful when the counter crossed 32.

Photography was one of the rarest profession that anyone had. The only person people believed who can take a perfect photograph was only the photographer.

Comparing the present time I will say that I was lucky I could live those times where camera rolls were such important and I am so thankful that I had a childhood before technology took over. Now it is said that “the easiest way to get into a profession is by buying a professional camera”. Now everyone with a DSLR camera and some editing applications are the photographers. Now there is no limitations of snaps we have got memory cards with plenty of memory to hold photographs.

The time we are living now is the time of “selfie”, wherever you go you can see this selfies all around, where people will be taking snaps of their own.

There was time when photography was done mostly to capture moments but now people use the photographs as a proof of something like they have gone somewhere or they did something.

I must say that technology had a great impact on this change, the way cameras came up with new technologies had really redefined photography.
